Our litigation and arbitration practice ranges from complex commercial disputes to locally-based matters involving U.S. Virgin Islands businesses, banks, and landowners. We also represent clients in taxation disputes before federal courts. Our broad commercial and civil litigation/arbitration services involve matters including:

  • breach of contract claims and defense;
  • foreclosures;
  • property ownership and use disputes;
  • landlord/tenant law;
  • creditor's side bankruptcy representation;
  • federal and local tax litigation, including taxation disputes, wrongful levies and liens, refund claims, and actions under the Freedom of Information Act and the Virgin Islands Sunshine Act;
  • appeals.

Based in the U.S. Virgin Islands and New York, our primary litigators are admitted in the U.S. Virgin Islands territorial courts, U.S. Tax Court, state courts including New York and Florida, and various U.S. District Courts including the United States District Court for the Virgin Islands and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
